The artistic project Mythen der Moderne, which is dedicated to post-war architecture, invites you to the performance "Prozession der Moderne" in Bochum and Oberhausen on Friday, 26 July 2019. Together with 100 primary school children from the two Ruhr Area cities, the Audimax of the Ruhr University Bochum and the former main warehouse of the Gutehoffnungshütte, today the LVR Industrial Museum, in Oberhausen will be staged through a performance parade and an art video. Both objects belong to the iconic architectures of the Ruhr area, which stand for the dawn of modernism after the world wars. The children's visions of the future were first researched in a workshop week with dance, music and object construction. The intention was to combine the Bauhaus-derived question "How do we want to live?" with the "Fridays for Future" demonstrations.
The participating artists are Francesca Best, Malin Harff, Béla Pablo Janssen, Pia Janssen, Sophie De Langloy, Katharina Reissdorf, Ivan Strelkin and Carlotta Lösch-Will. The artistic direction was taken over by Pia Janssen, project manager is Irina Weischedel, assistance and graphic design by Jenny Lee.
