Last year it was a crazy idea, this year already cult: Kunstbaden in the Grugabad Essen. Let your feet dangle in the water while you enjoy art and culture at sunset with a glass of wine or a soda.

Picnic concert with the Ellington Trio

Duke Ellington is one of the classics of jazz and the epitome of danceable jazz of the 20s, 30s and 40s. His compositions still put the listener in a very special - sometimes swinging, sometimes sentimental - mood and unfold their effect in big band line-up as well as in small formations.

The three musicians of the Ellington Trio prove this in their program. They interpret Ellington's melodies that became jazz history. With their enthusiasm and passion for the music of the swing era, they spread a mood that also infects their audience.

The picnic concert takes place in a separate area of the Grugabad and is a concert for the whole family. Just like at a real picnic, bring your own drinks and something to eat.
