Post-war modernism as European cultural heritage
The architecture of the new era shapes both large and small cities throughout Europe. BBB has planned a variety of activities that demonstrate this European dimension of post-war modernism and its values as well as the different strategies of further development.
The project initiated an exchange on architectures and planning of post-war modernism between German and European partners.
In joint project modules and network meetings different approaches to the mediation and further development of this built cultural heritage have been discussed.
The website bigbeautifulbuildings.eu serves as a platform for European institutions and initiatives. In addition, the young will be sensitized to the architecture of the 1950s to the 1970s and their value as a European cultural heritage.
