BEST OF - Post-war architecture in the Ruhr area
No time has shaped the Ruhr area more than the period of reconstruction and the economic miracle. Above all - but not only - everyday buildings were created at that time. Some buildings of this period are still today among the most important and extraordinary buildings that the Ruhr area has to offer! We take you on a journey of discovery into the 1950s to the 1970s and show you the music theatre in the Gelsenkirchen district, the town halls in Marl and Castrop-Rauxel and the Zeiss Planetarium in Bochum.
